FHSU Golf Selected For Super Regional (4/27/08)
The Fort Hays State men's golf team has been selected for the NCAA II Central/Great Lakes Super Regional in Findlay, Ohio. The Tigers are the #7 seed for the tournament which is scheduled for May 5-7 at the Red Hawk Run Golf Course. The Tigers are coming off a sixth-place finish at the MIAA Championships.

Men's Golfers Receive All-MIAA Recognition (4/23/08)
Fort Hays State University men’s golf team members Nick Rotolo and Jeff
Roether
earned All-MIAA Honorable Mention honors for the 2007-08 season.
Rotolo is a senior from Liberal, Kan., and Roether is a junior from Junction City, Kan. It was the second All-MIAA selection for Rotolo, after garnering the honors
as a junior.  It was the first all-conference selection for Roether.

White Named All-RMAC
Fort Hays State women’s golfer Shelby White earned a selection to the
All-RMAC Women’s Golf Team. White is a senior from Dodge City, Kan. She
won one tournament this year, giving her nine wins in her career at FHSU. She was one of seven individuals named to the team. It was the first time in RMAC golf history that the all-conference teams were selected by using a report generated from Golfstat.

FHSU Golf 6th At MIAA Championships (4/22/08)

The Fort Hays State men’s golf team finishes 6th at the MIAA Championships at Branson Creek G.C. in Hollister, Missouri. The Tigers finish 63 strokes behind conference champ Washburn.
Brendon Gross closed with an 8-over-par 79 and tied for 22nd at 22-over for the tournament. Jacob Hoover shot at 80 yesterday and tied for 24th at +23.


FHSU Women’s Golfers Finish 4th at RMAC Championships (4/20/08)

The Fort Hays State women’s golf team finished fourth at the RMAC Championships. Western New Mexico won the team title with a 638, 70 shots better than the Tigers. Shelby White finished seventh at 18-over-par. Kelsie Paul tied for 18th at 27-over.

FHSU Women’s Golf 2nd at CSU-Pueblo (4/8/08)
The Fort Hays State women’s golf team finished second at the Thunderwolf Invitational hosted by Colorado State-Pueblo. The Tigers shoot a two-round 691 and finish 22 back of Mesa State. Shelby White closed with a final six-over 78 and finished second at 18-over. Erika Householter was 9th and Kelsie Paul 13th.


FHSU Men’s And Women’s Golfers Both Finish 5th (4/1/08)
The Fort Hays State men’s golf team finished fifth at the two-day Missouri Western Invitational. The Tigers shot a 606 and finish 38 shots behind first place Washburn. Jeff Roether closed with a 2-under-par 70 and finished eighth at 1-over. Nick Rotello tied for 24th at 8-over. The Tiger women finished fifth a the Lady Buff Stampede, 50 shots behind first place Western New Mexico. Shelby White closed with an 11-over 83 and finished in a three-way tie for ninth at 24-over-par for the two-day event. Kelsie Paul tied for 20th at 31-over.


FHSU Men’s Golf Finishes 8th In Warrensburg (3/25/08)
The Fort Hays State men’s golf team tied for 8th place at the Heart of America Classic in Warrensburg, Missouri. The Tigers shot a 625, 52 shots behind first place Washburn. Jeff Roether fired a final found 3-over 74 and finished in a tie for 31st.


FHSU Women’s Golf Wins Shortened Tournament (3/18/08)
The Fort Hays State women’s golf team wins the rain shortened Missouri Western Invitational in St. Joseph earlier this week. The Tigers shot a 355 in the one-round event, one shot better than second place Rockhurst. Shelby White was the individual champ with a three-over 76. Melinda Schremmer tied for sixth with a 91 and Kelsie Paul was eighth with an 82.


FHSU Men’s Golf 8th, Women’s 2nd (10/10/07)
The Fort Hays State men’s golf team took three strokes off of their first round total yesterday at the FHSU Invitational at Smoky Hill Country Club but dropped a spot to finish eighth. The Tigers shot a two-day 611, 35 shots behind first place Washburn who edged Central Missouri for the team title. Nick Rotolo was the only Tiger to finish in the top-20. Rotolo closed with a one-over 72 and tied for fifth at three-over. He was eleven strokes behind Washburn’s Matt Ewald who shot an eight-under 63 yesterday to go eight-under for the tournament.

The Tiger women finished second at the Mesa State Quality Inn Maverick Invite. The Tigers carded a 679, 22 behind Mesa State. Shelby White led four Tigers in the top-20. She shot a pair of 81’s to finish third at 20-over, seven shots off the pace. Erica Householter, who led after day one, shot a 91 yesterday and tied with Kelsie Paul for tenth at plus-28. Melinda Schremmer tied for 16th at plus-38.

FHSU Men’s Golf 10th At Drury (10/4/07)
The Fort Hays State men’s golf team finished 10th at the Drury Invitational in Springfield, Missouri. The Tigers finished with a 624, 45 shots behind first place Central Missouri. Nick Rotolo closed with a 1-over-par 73 in yesterday’s final round to finish in 15th place at 4-over for the two-round event. He was the only Tiger to crack the top-20.

FHSU Women’s Golfers 4th At Grizzly Invite (10/3/07)
The Fort Hays State women’s golf team finished fourth at the Adams State Grizzly Invitational in Alamosa, Colorado. The Tigers finished the two-round event with a 671, 51 shots behind first place West Texas A&M. Shelby White closed with an eight-over 79 and finished eighth at plus-17. She was the only Tiger to finish in the top-20.


Men's Golf Finishes 15th (9/26/07)
The Fort Hays State men’s golf team finishes 13th at the Northeastern State Classic in Supulpa. The scheduled three-round event was shortened to two due to heavy rains yesterday. Jeff Roether tied for 15 th with a three-over 145 after rounds of 75 and 70 on Monday.

FHSU Golfers Fade (9/19/07)
The Fort Hays State men’s golf team finished tenth at the Bulldog Invitational in Kirksville, Mo. The Tigers finished with two-round event with a 49-over 613, 48 shots behind first place Washburn. Brent Millikan and Nick Rotolo both tied for 34th at +11. Millikan shot a 3-over 74 in the final round while Rotolo carded a +7 78. Jeff Roether, who was tied for seventh after day one, finished with an eleven-over 82 and tied for 43rd at plus-13.

Shelby White closed with an eight-over-par 80 to finish in third place at 11-over at the Regis Invitational. White was leading after her opening round 73 on Monday. Kelsie Paul finished with a finished 14th after a second round 86. The Tigers finished third, 44 shots behind first place Western New Mexico.

FHSU Golf Results From Season Openers (9/12/07)
Fort Hays State’s Nick Rotolo closed with an even-par 71 to finish fifth at the Colorado Mines/Regis Fall Invite at Fox Hollow. Rotolo finished four over in the three round event and was five off the pace. Walker Frey finished with a one-over 72 and tied for 13th at 13-over. The Tigers were fifth as a team, 37 shots behind first place Fort Lewis.


Shelby White had a tough second round at the RMAC Fall Invite #1 at Meadowlark Hill Golf Course in Kearney yesterday. White closed with a 15-over 86 and tied for fourth. She held a two-stroke lead after day one. Kelsie Paul closed with an 82 to tie for tenth. The Tigers were fourth as a team, 61 shots behind first place Western New Mexico.
